The National Youth Service Corps on Friday expressed concerns over what it described as poor condition of the scheme’s orientation camp in Niger State.

Sani-Bello, advised the corps members to avoid joining of undemocratic agitation that could easily be hijacked by miscreants and hoodlums.

Bello, represented by Alhaji Ahmed Matane, the Secretary to the Niger Government and Chairman of NYSC Governing Board, urged the corps members to partake in issues of national cohesion and nation building. Meanwhile, the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has advised 1,162 corps members to take advantage of the scheme to learn one or two vocational skills which will be of utmost importance to them.

Ikpeazu, who was represented by the state Commissioner Ministry of Youth Development, and Chairman, NYSC State Governing Board, Charles Esonu, gave the advice on Friday during the swearing-in of the Batch A, stream II corps members comprising 578 males and 584 females at the NYSC Abia Permanent Orientation Camp, Umunna.
