The Niger State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has commended Governor Mohammed Bago for appointing a former Manager of News, Nigerian
The union, in a statement signed by the state secretary, Comrade Usman Chiji, described the appointment of Bologi as a round peg in a round hole.
The Union described Bologi Ibrahim as a calm, gentle and humble person who devoted his time to advancing the development of journalism and hoped that the government would create a conducive atmosphere for him to operate. Chiji urged the trio to work closely with the new CPS to enable them effectively project the image of the Governor and also bridge the communication gap that may result in fake news or misinformation about government policies and programmes.
“We are urging all the Appointees not to betray the confidence repose on them by working for the progress of the state instead of pursuing self interest above collective.”
