Police have apprehended a suspected serial sex offender, Emmanuel Isaac, for drugging and raping a 20-year-old hawker in Minna, Niger State.
The victim, who sells buns, accused the suspect of drugging her after which he had carnal knowledge of her without her consent.
She stated that she regained consciousness in the afternoon and saw herself naked with her wares by her side inside the room of the suspect. “They told me that that was not the first time he would be doing this and asked me to come to Rayuwa SARC to report the case. They gave me transport fare and called a motorcyclist to take me to SARC.”
According to her, the Police confirmed that the suspect had cases regarding drugging and raping girls around his neighbourhood.Nwakpuda said, “Just like Emmanuel, there are many perpetrators who have pending cases of rape and still engaging in raping more girls making more serial rapists on our streets.
