Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has received the final masterplan to develop the Gurara Waterfalls into a world class tourism centre.
The plan presented by the lead consultant, Architect Elise van Gass Viviers at the Governor’s Lodge Minna, is to help develop the waterfalls into a world class tourism, agricultural, educational and cultural resort next year.
Governor Bello, who lauded the efforts of the architect expressed satisfaction with the work done, pointing out that the major attractions of a resort had been captured in the plan. He disclosed that some investors had indicated interest but would need to go through the masterplan with them to allow them make input in the plan in line with their investment profile.
Elise Van Gass who commended the governor for the vision to develop the waterfalls expressed confidence that the project when completed would be a delight to all.The final masterplan was arrived at after series of observations and suggestions made by various stakeholders on the draft reports one to four that were sent by the consultant from July 2020.
