A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Grooming People for Better Livelihood Centre has called on the Federal Government to put in place policies that will smoothen the ease of doing business in the country.

Head, Human Resources, Charles Ikoh ; Executive Director, Programmes, Alexander Enyinnah; Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Godwina Nwabunka; Executive Director, Programmes, Isoken Nwabunka; Head, Finance, Silas Nwoke and Head, Training, Anthony Nwosu, all of Grooming People for Better Livelihood Centre, during the Grooming Splash promo.

According to him, government should look at opening up the business environment for more Foreign Direct Investments , make forex available and improve the country’s exchange rate system; ensure constant power and energy supply for Small and Medium Enterprises , as well as improve communication system, most especially for those in the rural areas for easy access.The Grooming boss said the organisation has done over 12 million credits since its inception.

Using the slogan “when you empower a woman, you empower a nation”, she said the move was to support women businesses, who are mostly at the bottom of the pyramid. “We are not going to stop soon. What we are planning to do is something that will outlive all of us so that generations to come will continue to do this. It is challenging but we are becoming more agile and digitally-driven so that we will continue to survive.

He said each programme area would benefit from the 24 commercial tricycles and a share of the other prizes to different programme areas and branches across the country.
