June 6, 2023 7:30 AMThe suspension of the nationwide strike by organised labour, after a meeting with federal government representatives on Monday, dominates the cover pages of Nigerian dailies today.
The Nation says health workers, under the aegis of the Joint Health Workers’ Union and Assembly of Healthcare Professionals , have suspended their indefinite strike. The newspaper reports that Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo, said governors of the All Progressives Congress are supporting Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu as their preferred candidates for speaker and deputy speaker respectively.
