The newspaper says the federal government has promised to assist Jigawa state in rebuilding and rehabilitating Majia town, where a fuel tanker explosion claimed 153 lives on Tuesday. Punch quotes the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as stating that cholera has now killed 378 persons nationwide following the latest outbreak.
