The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the appointment of Miller Dantawaye as the new commissioner of police for Kogi state and Betty Otimenyin for Edo state. Both appointments will take effect this month, replacing outgoing commissioners who are set to retire. Dantawaye previously served in the Force Headquarters in Abuja, while Otimenyin was the deputy commissioner of administration in Anambra state.

The Police Service Commission has appointed Miller Dantawaye and Betty Otimenyin as the new commissioners of police for Kogi state and Edo statesaid the new commissioners would take over from the current ones in the two states, who are set to retire this month.

Dantawaye was in charge of information technology at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, while Otimenyin served as deputy commissioner in charge of administration in Anambra state.“The new Kogi CP had served as the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations with the Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory ,” Ani said.

Ani said Hashimu Argungu, PSC’s chairman, urged the new commissioners to demonstrate dedication and commitment to securing the two states.He added that approval for the appointments had been sent to Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector general of police , for implementation in a letter signed by Onyemuche Nnamani, secretary to the commission.
