He gave the directive in his addresss during the JAMB policy meeting with the heads of tertiary institutions on the modalities of the 2024/2025 admission. Mr Mamman maintained it was a matter of policy and not his personal decision. He noted that the 18-year minimum age could be detrimental to the federal government’s efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the country.He also said the government is working towards making the country’s education system more practical than theoretical, especially in the tertiary institutions.
