NERC has fined the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and other electricity distribution companies for over billing customers.

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has fined the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and other electricity distribution companies for overbilling customers.According to the electricity regulator, out of all the distribution companies , AEDC has the highest fine of N1.69 billion.

Other DisCos penalised are Eko Distribution Company ; Benin Distribution Company ; Enugu Distribution Company ; and Ibadan Distribution Company .
