The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has taken delivery of assorted medicaments and medical consumables worth about half a billion Naira donated by MAP International, an international charity organization for medical support to persons affected by disasters in the country, Director General of the Agency Mustapha Habib Ahmed has said.

The items, according to him include prenatal micronutrients supplements, knee walker, syringes, krill oil, sharp collector, bacterine spray, lancet ProCare, nitrile gloves, nose mask, meditated glasses, disposable barrier gowns, respirator particulate and syringe insulin among others. The NEMA DG appreciated the charity organization for the donation and acknowledged the support and collaboration of agencies that facilitated the clearance of the items.In a related development, the agency has also delivered relief items to victims of flood and Food items approved by President Muhammadu Buhari for Distribution to Vulnerable people in Borno state.

NEMA’s Director-General Mustapha Habib Ahmed said the donation was to complement the state government’s effort in assisting the flood victims and provide support for the vulnerable population. The DG was represented by NEMA’s Deputy Director, Human Resources, Alhaji Muhammed Kanar. The Director General BOSEMA Hajiya Yabawa Kolo received the items on behalf of the state Governor Engineer Baba Gana Umara Zululm. In appreciation of the gesture, the DG BOSEMA commended the Federal Government and NEMA for their support to the state.
