The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has formed the Adjudicature Review Committee (ARC) to bolster Nigeria's judicial system. The committee, chaired by former NERC CEO Dr. Sam Amadi, will analyze appellate court cases and provide commentary on their socio-economic and political impacts.
The Nigeria n Bar Association has established the Adjudicature Review Committee to strengthen Nigeria 's judicial system . The association also appointed Dr. Sam Amadi, former Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria n Electricity Regulatory Commission , as the chairman of the committee. This was disclosed in a statement by Mazi Afam Osigwe, Chairman of the NBA, and shared by Amadi on his X handle on Saturday.
According to the statement, Osigwe noted that the ARC will regularly review key appellate court cases, providing comprehensive analysis to address legal errors and contribute to jurisprudence that enhances democracy and justice in Nigeria. The NBA President also tasked the committee with publishing the Nigeria Adjudicature Review quarterly and offering scholarly commentary on cases with significant socio-economic and political impacts.
