Presidential poll: Nasarawa results sheet was altered, PDP collation officer tells court | TheCable

Hamza was the collation officer for the Peoples Democratic Party during the February 25 presidential election in Nasarawa.

According to NAN, Hamza told the tribunal on Monday that he had also appended his signature to the results sheet under duress because “if I did not sign, I would not be given the result”. “I did not state this in my witness statement of oath because I know a day like this would come,” the witness told the court.” Due process was not followed…I had to sign to obtain a copy of the results because there was this intimidation that if I did not sign, I would not be given the result.”Obi got 191,361 votes over PDP, who finished second with 147,093 votes, and APC’s 172,922 in third.

Sekibo claimed that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission were prevented from using the bimodal voter accreditation system to upload results collated from polling units across the state.
