A socio-cultural group, Afo Youth Mobility, has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating state of the LGEA Primary School in the Agam community of Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA), Nasarawa State. Barrister Dauda Kana, the group chairman, in a statement issued on Monday, expressed his concern, insisting that the current condition of the school is

the reason many pupils abandon their education. “The physical condition of the primary school is nothing short of distressing. The classrooms are dilapidated with crumbling walls, damaged windows and leaky roofs . These conditions make learning nearly impossible,' he said. The Chairman said the school lacks basic amenities such as clean drinking water and sanitary facilities, aggravating the situation and further discouraging students from attending.

The absence of these amenities further exacerbates the dire situation and has kept students at home. “The primary school is severely under-resourced. There's an acute shortage of textbooks, teaching materials and basic classroom furniture. The lack of these resources is a huge impediment. “The most distressing aspect of our assessment is the impact on our pupils.
