The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, says a total of 37 victims have been buried following a bomb blast that rocked the Doma local government area of the state on Tuesday night.
on Thursday evening.reported that 27 pastoralists were killed after a bomb exploded on Tuesday at the border linking Benue and Nasarawa states at the Doma local government area of Nasarawa State.that the police were working with other security agencies and the state government to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident and arrest the perpetrators.
He explained that the victims of the blast were herdsmen who had gone to Benue State to retrieve their cattle, after the cattle had been arrested, owing to the state’s anti-open grazing law. Unfortunately, the bomb had reportedly gone off while the men were loading off from the trucks that had brought them to the border, instantly killing the innocent herdsmen.
