NAPTIP nabs suspected human traffickers in Akwa Ibom
The suspects according to a press release signed by the Uyo Zonal Commander Mr Nduka Nwanwenne and made available to newsmen on Wednesday were Okokon Essien Bassey and Ofonime Essien Bassey.
Accordingly, the victims were said to have requested for N10,000 from the suspects as a form of commitment and a sign of seriousness. However, one of the suspects was said to have escaped but the agency explained that a search is on to find him, adding that the arrested suspects have made useful statements and would be charged to court.
