Amid the continued scarcity of naira notes and petrol in Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party wants to create a state of national siege and tension.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Tinubu, the PDP intends to disrupt the forthcoming 2023 general elections. Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, the former Lagos State governor said: “What the opposition and enemies of democracy want is to create a state of national siege and tension that can disrupt the coming general elections and create an atmosphere of strife in our country.”
He added: “We must say no to them. We must be resolute and stand firm to protect our democracy by ensuring we hold our elections in a peaceful and orderly manner.”
