The Nation Newspaper NAFDAC holds N107 million drugs in Abuja
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has seized over N107 million worth of illicit and dangerous drugs from motor parks and markets across Abuja.
The agency reported that 20 suspects were arrested and over 50 wares of illegal and dangerous drugs were confiscated, including Tramadol 225mg, Rohypnol, Diazepam, Cod Amol, aphrodisiacs, and codeine syrups.“During the raid, the team arrested 20 suspects and confiscated over 50 wares of illegal and dangerous drugs, including Tramadol 225mg, Rohypnol, Diazepam, Cod Amol, aphrodisiacs, and codeine syrups. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is over N107 million.
The operation, which was coordinated by the Kaduna and Abuja I&E/FTF offices, is part of an ongoing effort to rid public spaces of illegal drug hawking and ensure public safety.
