The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, has warned that long fasting contributes to the high rate of kidney problems being experienced in the country.
Says long fasting without water contributes to kidney problems
She lamented that some people fast for 10 or 20 days and drink only little or no water, stressing that by so doing, the kidney is being punished.
