The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) component of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) has reportedly killed many fighters loyal to Alhaji Nashama, a notorious terrorist in the region, in fresh airstrikes in Zamfara.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication, the terrorists were eliminated by air strikes targeted at Nashama’s enclave in Birnin Magaji LGA of Zamfara state. A source who spoke with the publication said officers of the OPHD acted on credible intelligence that the terrorists were scheming to attack locals and rustle cattle at Tsamre.
In a related development, air strikes were also conducted by an air component of Operation Hadin Kai on July 25 at a terrorists’ hideout located about 1.5 km east of Arra in Bama LGA of Borno state.Sources said the air force rained strikes on the hideout after weeks of careful observation of the location.that troops of Operation Hadarim Daji rescued 22 kidnap victims during a raid on bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara.
