The National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations(NACOMYO) Lagos State Chapter, has called on government at the federal, states and local levels as well
The group, who stated this in a communiqué issued at the end of its quarterly general meeting, Muslim Youth Assembly, in Lagos added that, it was observed that unemployment, which is prevalent among the nation’s youths, is one of the things fuelling insecurity in the country.
The communiqué signed by the state coordinator, Engr. Isiaka Salami and State Secretary General, Abd’Wahab Abd’Kareem, which was made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, said: “As such, the council calls on governments, at all levels, and well-meaning individuals to get the youths engaged with gainful employment. The council also calls on youth to ‘think outside the box’ on how to be gainfully employed so as not to be willing tools or agents of destabilisation.
