‘N6.2bn COVID-19 Palliative Funds Was Misappropriated’ – NDDC Insider
Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei has appeared before a House of Representatives committee over allegations of financial misappropriation within the agency.
In a letter dated August 3, 2020, Chairman of the NDDC COVID-19 Palliatives Committee, Sobamabo Jackrich, described the management of the funds as “a show of shame and a scam.” “My findings is not only that the money cannot be accounted for,” he added, “but there is nothing on ground to show that the 6.2 billion naira of our hard-earned taxpayers money was invested for its original purpose which the President approved.”
