My name is Abdulraheem Adekoya. I am from Lagos State. I was born in 1982. I studied Islamic Studies and Political Science at the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education for my Nigeria Certificate in Education. I obtained my first degree in Political Science and Education from the University of Ado Ekiti.
My choice of education as an academic field was greatly influenced by my mum. Although she was not that literate, I marvelled at her pedagogical skills. My mother sells food; I am a typicalShe is just wonderful and that was why I dedicated all the awards I have won to her because she was my first teacher. I have won over 40 awards and commendations from government and non-governmental organisations. She challenged me to push harder. I also had fantastic teachers.
The N20,000 you received as a reward for your hard work as a teacher elicited reactions on social media. Can you clear the air on that?
