My late husband wasn’t drunk, DPO lied – Wife of Kwara Inspector who died in custody
Our ReportersOluwabukola, the wife of Taiye Atobiloye, the late Kwara Inspector who died in a cell at the D Division of the Kogi State Police Command, has claimed that her late husband wasn’t drunk, adding that the Divisional Police Officer lied.
Before his death in April, Taiye was detained for being absent from duty for two days at the Zone 8 Command, Lokoja, Kogi State. According to his wife, before her husband went to Lokoja, he and his DPO had an argument because it was not his turn to go to Lokoja but after he was told that he must go to Lokoja, he went.
