Police on Thursday filed complaints against five suspects in the killing of beauty pageant contestant Geneva Lopez and her Israeli boyfriend Yitshak Cohen ."We actually filed the complaint for murder, two counts. That's for the death of Yitshak Cohen and Geneva Lopez . And the complaint has been docketed already," said Police Colonel Thomas Valmonte, legal division chief of the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group .
Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos in July said five persons of interest in the killing of the couple are in police custody.The PNP is looking at former policeman Michael Guiang as the “brains” in the killing. Police said Guiang mortgaged a property to Lopez but refused when the beauty contestant wanted to claim the land.On July 6, authorities found the bodies of Lopez and Cohen in a quarry site in Barangay Sta. Lucia in Capas after being reported missing.
