Motorists, Students Stranded As Bridge Linking Kwara State University Collapses After Heavy Rainfall | Sahara Reporters

Motorists, students and other users of a bridge linking Shao and Kwara State University (KWASU) Malete Road in Moro Local Government of Kwara State as the bridge collapsed after a heavy rainfall. From videos and photographs from the incident showed that the bridge cut into two, leaving no access for users. The Registrar of the Kwara State University, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, also confirmed the incident in a terse statement on the university’s Twitter account on Wednesday saying that the collapse was caused by the heavy rainfall.

The Registrar of the Kwara State University, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, also confirmed the incident in a terse statement on the university’s Twitter account on Wednesday saying that the collapse was caused by the heavy rainfall. In an updated statement, the Registrar said that “Following the collapse of the culvert at the Shao-Malete intersection, the Management of Kwara State University, Malete, swung into action to ensure there is movement to and fro the University.
