Abuja football fans can now have a sigh of relief as the football pitch of the main bowl of the renovated Moshood Abiola National Stadium is now fully

This is made possible by the minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare, who doggedness and determination lured the business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote to bankroll the rehabilitation of the Stadium through adopt-a-pitch initiative.

The rehabilitation is in fulfilment of the promised by the Minister to fixed existing infrastructure and develop grassroots sports. The Minister’s adopt-a-pitch initiative has also resulted in the rehabilitation of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos and Daura Mini Stadium, Katsina State. There are also plans to rehabilitate the Chief Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan, Oyo State through a private public partnership model.
