A little more than 4,600 people in the City of Victoria voted in advanced polls.

A little more than 4,600 people in the City of Victoria voted during advanced polls.

According to the City of Victoria, a total of 4,613 voters or 6.4 per cent of registered voters made their mark during advance polls, which is down from 7 per cent in 2018. Victoria had five advanced voting days, with three different voting locations. People were able to vote in the advanced polls at city hall on Oct. 5, Oct. 11 and Oct. 12. There was also advanced voting at Our Place on Oct. 7 and at UVic’s Student Union Building on Oct. 11.

General voting day is Saturday and Victoria has 13 voting locations around the city.
