(UPDATE) THE percentage of Filipinos who believe the country is headed in the right direction had a double-digit drop, the latest survey by independent firm OCTA Research showed.

Conducted from September 30 to October 4, the poll found that the percentage of respondents who think the country is on the right track went down to 62 percent from 72 percent last July.It was the biggest percentage drop since October 2022, OCTA said Monday.Twenty percent thought otherwise, while the remaining 18 percent refused to answer.In terms of regions, Mindanao had the highest percentage of respondents who believe the government is on the right path, at 70 percent.

The largest percentage decrease was in Balance Luzon, where it fell from 71 percent in July 2023 to 57 percent in October 2023, a decrease of 14 percentage points,' OCTA said.The respondents' answers were 'based on the policies, programs articulated, and actions done by the current administration,' it further noted.
