Troops under the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Sector 3 in Mongunu, Borno State, Nigeria, have neutralized terrorists during clearance operations. The operation, which included hybrid force and air support, led to the elimination of 15 terrorists, the capture of one alive, and the destruction of three Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs).
Troops of Multinational Joint Task Force operating under Sector 3 in Mongunu, Borno State , have neutralized terrorists in clearance operations. Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, Chief Military Information Officer HQ MNJTF N'djamena, Chad , in a statement said the troops in a joint effort with hybrid force and air component support, intercepted and neutralized some fleeing wounded ISWAP terrorists and captured additional cache of weapons.
'In a follow-up ground operation, troops eliminated 15 terrorists and captured one alive as they attempted to flee after sustaining more injuries. 'The troops also destroyed three additional Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices , bringing the total number of VBIEDs destroyed to 7.
