Some residents of Lagos have expressed concerns over increased activities of miscreants who extort or attack them in some parts of the metropolis.
While some of them attempted to physically harass ladies, others were stationed at strategic locations on the bridge as pedestrians moved fast to avoid being victims.
“At Ogba last weekend, I was going to a club at the Caterpillar area with two of my friends around 8pm, and many shops were already locked. Normally in Lagos, these are busy times, but things have now changed. People are saving their heads from insecurity,” Ayeni said. “As you know, a mega city like Lagos attracts a huge number of people every day. I can assure you that we will continue to ensure the environment is well-kept. We will make sure that we rid all of the bridges, and pedestrian walkways of people that are not supposed to be there.”
