The Federal Government is to generate $100 billion from creative arts.

Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa , pledged in Abuja during a visit to The Fashion Academy ­- a private vocational school.

The programme, she stressed, aims to position the country as a global hub for arts, culture and creatives. “I will go back and have an inter-ministerial meeting with relevant ministries to present this idea to them, to see how we can leverage what they have already started. My hope is for us to export some of these great African expressions to the Diaspora.”

Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has described her predecessor, Bisi Fayemi, as a consistent advocate for the rights of African women, a strident voice for the voiceless and a passionate crusader for the rights of girl-child to quality education. A Non-Governmental organisation based in Indiana, the United States , After God Heart Inc., has extended a N1.5 million grant to boost the humanitarian efforts of the Alumni of Mass Communication Students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic , Ojere, Abeokuta.
