Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has said the reckless desecration of all public institutions under the administration of President Bola Tinubu will not be sustained.

This is even as the ex-Minister insisted that the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunde-Ojo, has to explain the basis on which Dele Farotimi appeared in handcuffs during his court trial on Monday. In a post on her X handle on Monday, Ezekwesili maintained that those pushing the gross violation of Farotimi ’s constitutional rights should advise themselves and cease pushing forward.

reported that some Nigerians had expressed anger after human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, appeared at the Ekiti State High Court in handcuffs, escorted by men of the Nigeria Police Force. Farotimi was arrested in Lagos State by officers of the Ekiti State Police Command. His arrest followed a defamation lawsuit filed by Chief Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
