Aliyu Abdullahi, minister of state for agriculture and food security, says the federal government is committed to working with development partners to strengthen performance in the sector.

Abdullahi said Nigeria has opportunities to transform its food production systems and contribute more to regional food security. Abdullahi said renewed commitment for collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organisation is also in place to strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural sector.“It is important to emphasise that global hunger and food crisis demand collective action,” he said.
