Military will act if Trump loses but refuses to leave – Biden
In a chat with Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, Biden expressed concern that Trump will “try to steal this election”.Biden said he was confident that if Trump fails to exit, the military would intervene.
“I am absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” The Guardian quoted him as saying.Tim Murtaugh, Trump campaign Communications Director condemned Biden’s comment. He called it “another brainless conspiracy theory from Joe Biden as he continues to try to undermine confidence in our elections”.
Murtaugh added that the president “has been clear that he will accept the results of the 2020 election”. Trump faces condemnation over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the death of George Floyd which sparked widespread protests.
