Warmer temperatures will quickly overtake the recent low-pressure system with milder air coming in from the Atlantic
Met Eireann has confirmed a welcome jump in temperatures from Sunday after a chaotic week of freezing temperatures and treacherous road conditions.
READ MORE: Rare weather event to bring freezing conditions to an end as Met Eireann issue new warning The ice warning will be in place from 6:00 pm on Saturday tonight and applies to Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, and Connacht.
Met Éireann said afternoon temperatures will range from 5 to 8 degrees over Ulster and up to 13 degrees further south, all in fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds.
