After a disappointing July and August, the sunshine is coming through at the last minute as Met Eireann have pinpointed when we can expect a rise in temperatures
In Met Eireann's extended range forecast, they predict "higher than average" temperatures for next week.Read more: Two men have died while taking part in Ironman event in CorkFor the week of the 21st of August, Met Eireann say: "A high pressure anomaly is indicated to develop over Ireland during the second to last week of August, bringing higher than usual temperatures for the time of year, mainly dry weather and light winds.
Monday 04 September to Sunday 10 September With no strong signal for the third week of the outlook period climate averages in terms of wind, rain and temperature are expected for the region. Monday 11 September to Sunday 17 September There’s a weak signal for slightly drier weather moving in to the area from the west during the last week of the outlook period, with air temperature signalled to be slightly above the climate averages as well as it being a somewhat drier than typical period.
For September, October and November, the rainfall forecast is less certain with equal chance of slightly wetter than average and slightly drier than average conditions. However, many models have a slight signal for below average rainfall in September with the potential for higher than average rainfall increasing marginally in October and November.Join our new WhatsApp community!
