May Day: Yobe workers make demand to Gov. Gaidam

NLC State Chairman, Comrade Muktar Musa Tarbutu, made the position of the congress known at an event marking the 2019 May Day celebration held at the August 27th Stadium, Damaturu today.

“However, the challenge of increased enrolment leading to higher teacher to pupils ratio in the state, it’s a great challenge to quality education delivery.” Tarbutu appealed to the government to consider the construction of more houses for civil servants, training of middle-cadre staff for efficiency as well as the implementation of of 30% to pensioners who retired before 2011.

On his part, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam, represented by Permanent Secretary, Establishment, Mohammed Fawa appreciated the leadership of NLC in the state for industrial harmony.
