Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari on Tuesday directed that all projects initiated, taken over or awarded by his government, must be completed in 2022
Masari, who gave the directive during the inauguration of the project committee held at Government House Katsina, also acknowledged that the early completion of the projects was being affected by the twin challenge of banditry and COVID-19
He said: ‘’We aim to make sure that we complete all projects before the end of 2022, we must complete all the projects that we have started’’‘‘The delay in setting up this committee was informed by two major issues negatively affecting our state: insecurity as a result of banditry and COVID-19’’‘’They put pressure on our resources, our-selves and the residents.
Terms of reference include: to identify and document all ongoing projects in the state, especially under the ministries of education, water resources and works and to determine the level of progress in outstanding projects to be carried out and their costs.
