The Maple Leafs added another player to the COVID health and safety protocol list on Wednesday, with the addition of defenceman Timothy Liljegren.
But seven of those players on the Leafs team returned to practice Tuesday: John Tavares, Jack Campbell, Jason Spezza, Wayne Simmonds, Travis Dermott, Alex Kerfoot and T.J. Brodie.
Still out are: Liljegren, David Kämpf, Ilya Mikheyev, Petr Mrázek, Rasmus Sandin, Morgan Rielly, William Nylander and Jake Muzzin.The Leafs haven’t played since Dec. 14 in Edmonton, and have had games against Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle, St. Louis, Columbus and Pittsburgh postponed. They’ve also had games next week vs. Carolina and Montreal postponed.
