Emergency Services Minister Stephanie Cooke said the latest flood update for the Lismore community is 'very disappointing but it’s an unfortunate reality of the current situation that we’re facing'.
NSW SES on Tuesday ordered people in the Lismore CBD, Lismore Basin and low lying areas of East Lismore and Girards Hill to evacuate by 4pm due to the flood risk.
“This means that in those lower lying areas of Lismore, many buildings, particularly those who were inundated just one month ago, are expected to flood again,” she said.
