Manchester United have reached a decision on striker Joshua Zirkzee's future. Several Italian sides are interested in signing the striker in the ongoing January transfer window. Six months after joining the Red Devils from Bologna, the Dutch striker has yet to hit the ground running. Zirkzee was one of the standout performers for Bologna in the 2023-24 season, with 11 goals which helped them qualify for the Champions League.
Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag as manager, spent over €40 million to sign the striker as a direct replacement for Anthony Martial However, it has not been easy for Zirkzee at Old Trafford, with just three goals for the Red Devils so far. Manchester United are worried about the 23-year-old and are prepared to provide him with an enabling environment to thrive. According to Fichajes.net, Manchester United are committed to doing this, even if it means that the striker will have to spend time away from the club on loan. Bologna are also willing to take the player back on loan, while Juventus and Napoli have also reportedly shown interest. Zirkzee started the game against Newcastle United but was taken off in the 33rd minute, with his side 2-0 down at home
