Man, teenager remanded over defilement of minors in Ekiti

The defendant, of no fixed address, is standing trial on a one-count charge of rape. The prosecutor, Inspector Caleb Leramo, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 13 in Oloje-Ekiti.

The prosecutor urged the court to remand the defendant in the correctional centre pending legal advice from the office of Director of Public Prosecution . The plea of the defendant was not taken.In a related development, an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court yesterday remanded an 18-year-old Kunle Amujo at the Correctional Centre in Ado-Ekiti over alleged sexual abuse. The defendant, whose address was not provided, is being tried for sexual abuse.
