The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Abdullahi Adamu, aka Adati, 19, for defiling a five-year-old girl.According to him, investigation led to the suspect’s arrest.
Ngoroje said, “Adamu, who is cooperating with the police investigators, had confessed to luring the little girl to an uncompleted building, where he forcefully penetrated her private parts repeatedly.
Adamu’s arrest marks a milestone in the quest to get justice for the five-year-old, who is currently battling for her life at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola, following the alleged sexual assault by the suspect. An uncle to the victim, Mustapha Ayuba, was initially suspected of committing the crime following a long-standing family dispute.
