The Police arraigned the convict, Auwal Usman, before a Bauchi State Chief Magistrate’s Court for the crime.
According to Musa, it was in the process that Usman macheted his friend in his two hands, leading to the amputation of one of the hands while the other was dangling. The offence committed by Usman, according to the prosecuting police officer, was contrary to Section 241 of the Penal Code Law. In his judgment, Chief Magistrate Haruna Abdulmumini Mamman held that the court was convinced the defendant committed the offence he was charged with.
