Man jailed 5 years for defiling minor in Bayelsa
Otobo, who was accused of committing the crime on the 4th of February, 2020, was charged to court on the 13th of February, 2020 by the Nigeria Police on the petition filed by an advocacy group and prosecuted by the Police.
DAILY POST gathered that the pedophile was charged to court on two count charges of unlawful and indecent assault. According to the Police in a suit numbered YMC/49C/2020,”You, Justice Otobo on the 4th of Febuary, 2020 did unlawfully and indecently assaulted an 8 years old by putting your finger into her vagina which cause her harm and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 282 of the criminal code CAP 14 laws of Bayelsa State of Nigeria 2006.
“That you, Justice Otobo, on the same date and place in the aforesaid Magistrate District did unlawfully fingered and pour your sperm vagina of the victim thereby committed an offence punishable under section 287 of the criminal code laws of Bayelsa State of Nigeria 2006.The Magistrate later found him guilty and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment.
