A source said while chasing the pupils out of the classroom, the suspect allegedly strangulated the 17-year-old pupil.
“After the incident, the principal of the school quickly rushed to the police station to report the matter,” the source said.
Contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the arrest of the suspect, and said an investigation had commenced. Odunlami said, “On Monday, the Principal of Ijaw National High School, came to the station and reported that one Oke Loya, 27, who took shed at the school security gate during the rain, strangulated one Meretighan Timibra, 17, of Arogbo Ibe. The suspect claimed the students called him a madman; he has been arrested and detained.”All rights reserved.
