A middle aged man, identified as Umar Faruk, has allegedly committed suicide over his inability to pay accumulated debt of N1.7m used in floating his point of

Faruk, who appeared in court with a bottle of rat poison hidden in his pocket, took it and slumped instantly before the judge in court premises. Faruk a resident of Yola South LGA, was sued by his friend, Mustapha Baraya, over the said money, after frantic efforts made to recover the money proved abortive.
Baraya was said to loaned the deceased over N1.9m to operate POS business, however, misappropriated the fund and refunded the sum of N150,000 only on instalmental basis. Baraya’s efforts to recover the remaining N1.7m balance was not successful as Umar and his father kept deceiving him even after the judgment was delivered by the court.RELATED
