Man City will not entertain any offers for striker Julian Alvarez despite speculation surrounding his future,Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have all been widely linked with a potential swoop for the World Cup winner.A well-placed source has toldthat the 24-year-old is highly unlikely to depart and Pep Guardiola’s side will not consider offers for Alvarez this summer.
The forward signed a fresh contract at City just over a year ago, keeping him at the club until June 2028. Alvarez made 54 appearances across all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 2023-24 campaign, starting in 39 of those outings.He notched 19 goals and 13 assists, providing a key contribution as City won the Premier League title.
The 30-cap Argentina international was a mainstay in Guardiola’s lineup during injuries to Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland but was dropped from the side when they were at full strength.
