Police in Jigawa State has confirmed the killing of Isah Umara of Baturiya Village in Kirikasamma Local Government Area of the state. Spokesman of the command, SP Abdu Jinjiri confirmed the incident to DAILY POST. He said the victim was burnt to ashes for allegedly bewitching a boy in the same village. According to him,

Police in Jigawa State has confirmed the killing of Isah Umara of Baturiya Village in Kirikasamma Local Government Area of the state.He said the victim was burnt to ashes for allegedly bewitching a boy in the same village.

According to him, “On 23rd May, 2020, the Police in Kirikasamma Local Government Area received a call that one Amadu, alias Officer of Baturiya village ganged up with his friends and attacked one Isah Umara of the same village, accusing him of bewitching his son.” “On receiving the call, the police rushed to the scene to rescue the man under attack. On arrival, we found that the victim was burnt to ashes in a shop where he was hiding from the attackers, and the attackers took to their heels.”He said police succeeded in arresting three of the suspects and the case is under investigation.
